My Story
As a child I played the role of the mom in my play groups - always paying attention to the special needs of others. As I grew, the role stayed with me. I went from being the parental figure to my friends and peers to a parent in my own right. I also took on the responsibility of supporting my own parents and siblings whenever they needed help. I always went out of my way to make others feel cared for, whether they were family, friends or even strangers.
Realizing that providing care for others was my passion, I began to work as a caregiver. During this time, I came to meet many clients that I grew fond of, and made memorable connections with. Then, I met Susan.
Susan welcomed me into her home as a caregiver, but soon she made me feel like I was a member of her family. During the time I was her caregiver, Susan and I would discuss my goals and plans for the future. In the end, it was her final request of me that I pursue the goal I had set for myself - to found my very own in-home care company. Thus, Woodslake Home Care was born.
WoodsLake Home Care is the culmination of my life of providing care. I aim to ensure that every person who receives help from our caregivers feels as though they are a part of our family. Our aim is to follow the golden rule, “Treat Others the Way You Want To Be Treated.”
